  1. Khruangbin and Leon Bridges: Texas Moon The perfect collaboration from a band that sounds like they’ve been together forever.
  2. Mark Egan and Danny Gottlieb: Electric Blue Two brilliant musicians who have played together for nearly 50 years, and they are so locked in.
  3. Pink Floyd: The Final Cut A controversial record for some. I still enjoy this one.
  4. Faces: A Nod Is As Good As a Wink... to a Blind Horse A perfect album from the golden years of vinyl.
  5. Aaron Gibson: Horror Films and Sunday School This record is Aaron’s finest work to date. And that’s saying a lot.
  6. Weather Report: Night Passage My favorite Weather Report lineup created a brilliant, “live” studio record.
  7. Black Dub: Black Dub What more could you ask of a record than some deep soulful vocals and bass?
  8. Joni Mitchell: Hejira Simply a masterpiece. This might be my favorite album of all time.
  9. Dire Straits: Dire Straits Everyone knows “Sultans of Swing.” But that's not the best track.
  10. Jaco Pastorius: Jaco Pastorius This record was the shot heard around the world, especially for bass players.
